Is our relationship ok? does he want to be with me?

we have been together about 7wks now, met the parents etc, stayed over at each others houses etc, everything at the start was great we wanted to see each other all the time and told me how felt, he would call me princess etc and send really cute texts spontaneously. Then we started arguing over something i meant as a joke which he took to seriously (have learned that jokes i make can hurt people now!) he doesn't seem as happy as what he used to be, he would phone me instead of me phoning him all the time, he lives about 30minutes away but we do get to see each other alot, during xmas holidays 2-3 days a week, and at school everyday, but we can't talk like we do when we are ourselves. Now he doesn't send me nice texts anymore doesn't call me princess etc, if i make plans with him i always feel like i am the one making them with him and its never him making them with me, i also feel like he makes excuses, like awww i feel sorry for my mum having to drive me through all the time, when we both know fine well his mum doesn't mind, i asked him to come through one day after i had been shopping he said there isa football game on and i said well come through after it and he said but there is the highlights or something on after it, he tells me he loves me like when we are together everything is fine we have a laugh etc, he says he wants us to last forever. I don't know if he still misses me as much as i miss him, and when i try to ask him he Always says what do you think? you should know, and then i don't know what to say after that because if i say no i don't know, he says well whats he point which i then get upset about, am i looking to much into the small details or are we on the rocks?
