What do other Christians think about Fred Phelps and his church?

I am not American, but I have heard about the infamous church of this madman. What have been the reaction among other American Christians to this hate-group? His message is very different to that of mainstream Christians. Do other American Christians consider the Westboro Baptist Church to be a Christian church? Or do they consider Fred Phelps to be a false prophet and an Anti-Christ?
