Help! My boss says a newcomer smells. There's a new guy at work who just came here from Cameroon.He has only

been in the country a couple of months. Well today there was busted pipe type smell throughout the hallway. My boss says it was the new guy from Cameroon. Obviously it wasn't , there was actually a malfunction of the pipes. Then he goes on to say that the guy smells like pooh and he actually had the guys boss go in and tell him that he smells and needs to fix that. My questions is, isn't it normal for newcomer immigrants to smell like the food they cook, or just to have differnet cultural norms. I felt like the comment was really mean, and probably was offensive to the new guy. Any opinions?
