What's the name of that movie?

looking for the title of a movie my from childhood. Had to be made in the late sixties, early seventies. About a woman who is home alone and some creatures (hairy?) that live in the basement. The creatures can not go into the light, they are trying to steal her soul. Probably a cheesy movie to me now but, scared the crap out of me as a child and I would love to see it again.
